This Ceramic Wall Tile is an advertisement for Pears Soap, made by Pilkington's Tiles.
I bought it for a couple of pounds from a little bric-a-brac stall in Eccles indoor market. The colours and condition were so perfect amongst all the jumble, I just had to buy it!
Since the late 19th Century, Pears Soap has been famous for its iconic marketing and advertising campaigns. This tile could be the staring point for a bathroom design one day...
